Appointments
are made either in person or by telephone on 476
2460 during the hours of 8:30am - 6:30pm on the
day of the appointment or up to a week in advance. Your
appointment will be given at a set time with the doctor
of your choice, if available.
For
enquiries after the hours of the appointments line,
please ring 530 1009 for further information
and emergency queries.
Appointments
cannot be made with the doctors more than one week in
advance. Only with the nursing team are appointments
bookable for further than one week ahead.
Wherever
possible, it is best to see the same doctor each time
you visit as this is helpful in building up a picture
of your condition. Please review the 'timetable' section
of this site for more details on the doctors' availability.
Home
Visits
We
welcome requests for home visits from patients who are
housebound or terminally ill. Please try and ring any
requests in before 11am. Some requests for a visit may
be dealt with over the phone by one of the doctors or
you may be advised to attend the surgery and this will
be arranged.
We
recommend that children who are unwell are brought into
the surgery for assessment, as this makes best use of
the doctors time and allows for rapid assessment. If
you feel your child is unwell, and there are no appointments
available on that day, please ask the receptionist to
discuss your concerns with the doctor.
Before
you book an appointment, please check to see whether
you can deal with the condition adequately yourself
using the information provided in Medical
Information, or can get the necessary advice and
medication directly from your pharmacist without the
need to see a doctor using the Care
at the Chemist service.
